Purpose of Position:
The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in the automation of deployment, integration, and testing for exciting mining projects. They will work with the development, support, and quality assurance teams to implement processes by which projects can be produced at scale and tested and distributed automatically. They will assist teams working on both hardware and software projects with the goal of increasing both team productivity and product quality.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Implement automated Continous Integration and Continous Deployment for both hardware and software based projects
Implement test automation for both hardware and software based projects
Help with development and deployment of simulation infrastructure for testing purposes
Support hardware and software teams with DevOps responsibilities
Knowledge and Experience - Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent;
Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps principles;
Knowledge of test automation principles;
Knowledge of Kubernetes;
Development skills using a language such as C++, Java, or .NET;
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Linux Bash, PowerShell and Python;
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is required;
Full professional English proficiency.
Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
Knowledge of Atlassian Bamboo a plus
Experience with containerization and deployment using Kubernetes and Docker a plus
Relevant certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP are a plus.
Knowledge of Cybersecurity industry standards such as NIST or CIS is a plus
Relevant certifications in Cybersecurity are a plus.
